I can try and dress this up all night
But all I want you to say is "It's alright";
I have no excuses but this comes from the heart
I I tried to be the horse when I'm only the cart.

I know in the business stakes you know more than me
I shouldn't have tried to take it away from thee;
We've lost good customers through my misdemeanor
I realise I couldn't have been greener!!
My sincere apologies!!

There are so many reasons why;
I need to apologise asap
Please let me try

I overstepped the mark
I didn't see the line;
I felt more than saw
The mistake wasall  mine.

I know actions speak louder than words
And I will try and shout this as loud as I can;
I know only time will tell so let me prove
To you what kind of man I really am.

The wet paint all around the place;
I've spoilt your work and I'm sorry
Your feelings are clear all over your face.

Can I help you put it right
Have you a deadline to meet?
Or can I make it up in some other way
Or am I out on the street?

It's not good to have met this way;
The garage will see how much for a dent
My car won't see the light of day.
(Licence I'm talking about)

It was my fault, really, honest
I never saw that pedestrian;
I landed in your path
I should be underwritten.

Even though that's going to be tough!

I can't believe I've hurt you this much
I can't say sorry enough;
I know it was an accident
But I thought you were very tough.

This is a side you hid from me
You live behind this mask;
I would have been completely different with you
You only had to ask.
