Two little hands to hold
Fingers gripped around our thumbs;
Our hearts just melted
And our brains went numb.
The overwhelming emotions
That come into play;
We can't stop looking at you
There's no more to say.
Except that you are gorgeous
Just like your Mom and Dad;
Welcome to our world young man
From Grandma and your Grandad.
****
Hello there little fellow!
The good news is going ’round
That you’ve mad a “happy Landing”
And arrived all safe and sound
Well this just comes to tell you
That you’re lucky as can be
To become the newest member
Of so nice a family!
****
Welcome you little precious one
A new kid on the block;
This big wide world is wonderful
And on the door of success you will knock.
Mom and Dad adore you
And that's a very good start;
Grandma and Grandad are there too
Full of love that will never part.
****
The stork has delivered a bundle of joy
We'd like to meet your new baby boy!
It seemed like forever, but the waiting is done,
You proudly announce the birth of your son.

A New Baby Blessing!
For this new little bundle
That has been born today;
May good health be with her/him always
Hope and joy keep harm at bay.
The excitement of living be abundant
Energy and a joy to behold;
That success and luck bless them
May their spirit never get old.

Smell that talcum powder
The soft scent in their hair;
The newness of their skin
Lots of love everywhere.
Those tiny little fingers
Those tiny little toes;
Wrapped up in a cuddly
Looking down at a cute little nose.

Another miracle created
It all happens in 40 weeks;
With not another minute wasted
Let me have a little peek.
All nestled up inside a fleece
Held in Mommys arms so close;
Get the camera ready
She's already in a pose.
****
The cutest little bundle
Now lives in a corner of your home;
The rest is full of new appliances
That before you've never known.
How can someone so small
Take over your whole life;
Well let me tell you
They can cut you like a knife.
A look or a cry even a sigh
Makes you jump up and run to them;
They very soon realise that this is good
And call you no matter where or when.
You wouldn't have it any other way
Unimaginable without them being here;
In a very short time it takes to bond
They have become Oh so very dear!
