For expectations are begun
When he sends down a little son.
A son to teach the golden rule
To watch as he goes off to school.
To marvel at his happy face
Every time he wins a race.
Playing tricks and funny pranks
Learning to say "please" and "thanks"
Yes,God brings parents endless pleasure
When he sends a little boy to treasure.

We are all still always young at heart;
There are things we should remember
Our example in their memories don't part.
We know what people said and did
Affected all our lives;
So watch out is the case
For looking out for these young lives.

No matter whether girl or boy;
Laughter and smiles along the way
Life's journey together everyday.
Let's celebrate this special day
The one that's their's alone;
And thank them for choosing us
As parents and the love they've shown.

My Children
My children are very smart,
Both of them have a great big heart.
They both are growing up each and every day,
In their own unique and special way.
Both of my children are filled with joy,
I love them dearly both my girl and boy.
When I am sad and have a bad day,
Both of my children know how to make my hurt go away.
I love my children more than words could ever say,
I am very grateful that they are alive each and every day.
They mean more to me than anyone will ever know,
When the children are not around me the days seem to go by so slow.
Everyday brings a brand new start,
After all my children are my heart.
I thank God each and every day,
That he sent two beautiful angels my way.

Children make a house a home
They make us into Moms and Dads;
They teach us patience and love
Lots of laughter as well as drive us mad.
They make us be responsible
To be caring and mature;
They also leave no spare time
But share their love that is pure.
