Employee Leaving Poems
****
I don't know the staff these days
You're leaving me with only one hand;
You've been my right one for many a year
This is not what I had planned.
You will do very well I'm sure
With a new boss over you;
I can't praise or thank you enough
The opposition successfully wooed.
We don't blame you for a minute
But you will certainly be a miss;
The whole department has turned out
To hear me say just this!
You're leaving on a jet plane
Don't know if you'll be back again;
So many times I played around
Now I wish I'd used my brain.
( Good job I'm not singing-John Denver wouldn't like it)

Congratulations on your service here
You've made the twenty five years;
You've never been late and with no time off
So the clock has made us laugh with tears.
You are no longer stuck with the weather
As more days are open to you;
Monday to friday change sometimes
No just weekend weather for you.
Fresh air and sunshine-get out of the rain
No more humping large boxes around;
We will miss you though and your pithy wit
The last word king you are crowned!

You're a very special person
Destined to go far
I hope your new workmates (and neighbors)
Know how lucky they are

Well Done! Your hard work has paid off
Your degree has been well earned;
You now have a better job
To show off all you've learned.
You deserve it and rightly so
Many years and lots of work;
The twilight hours here with us
No more a lowly clerk.
Remember us mere mortals
When you're in your nice new office;
We're going to miss you
Call if you need an apprentice.

We're so proud of you, you know
A right old chip off the block;
You're off to do business on your own
Ambition we can't knock.
We'll miss you on the family farm
You've learnt all of this from us;
But now you're off to have your own
We won't make a lot of fuss.
Anytime you want some partners
Just put us on the list;
It better be at the top mind
Or else we'll be a bit p....d.
Good Luck!!!

Better to have tried and lost
Than never to have bothered;
Your job was always here
This is where it's featherd.
