No matter how old or young
No matter how large or how small;
Your family when it comes down to it
Nothing else matters at all

The worldwide family of brothers
Has been brought a lot closer somehow;
The world wide web has us talking
Let's see if good will come now.

My dad is a wonderful man
That's what my Mom always says about him;
He's very kind to all of us
Without him we'd be out on a limb.

He's also very funny and we have to laugh
Because he's always quick with remarks;
He always has to have the last word
His bites no good but brilliant at his barks.

My mom is very special too
Words of wisdom she has many;
No temper tantrum can beat her
She takes them ten a penny.

She knows all sorts of things
Especially when we're ill;
How to play all sorts of games
She's absolutely Brill!

As for brothers when it comes to mine
They drive me round the bend;
They took my dolls heads off once
And couldn't get them on again.

Sisters don't fare well either
Borrowing things without an ask;
I'll catch her someday soon you know
Then I'll be taking her to task.

Grandad though is heavenly
He comes up with crazy ideas;
Of how to wind my parents up
Kidding on he's caught some fleas.

My mom didn't believe him
He'd put them in the shed;
That's what he told me to say
And that's what he had said.

Screaming mother came running out
From down the end of the garden;
As he'd really put some poppy seeds
In the shed- he really did have to beg her pardon

Grandmother dear as soft as cashmere
Always smells of a certain perfume;
Kindness personified with a smile
Just like a rose always in bloom.

I don't see my cousins much
I will when I get older;
I'll go and stay on holiday
When I get a little bolder.

Or maybe when I get a car
I'll go all over the place;
Than everyone will be
Sick of seeing my face.

Poem about a Dog

When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.

And when at last He'd finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine
and give each one a name."

And so He travelled far and wide
and everywhere He went,
a little creature followed Him
until it's strength was spent.

When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said,
"Dear Lord,there's not one left for me."

Kindly the Father said to him
"I've left you to the end
I've turned my own name back to front
and called you dog, My friend."

For cat lovers

As we all know cats have staff
They choose exactly what they want;
They mooch about and sleep a lot
Then saunter off for a jaunt.

My worldwide family is a brotherhood
From Adam and Eve down to now;
It's just so sad we argue a lot
I want to change this and that's a vow!!
