As I confess my love for you
My heart is pounding in my ears;
Please be gentle with me anyway
Especially if I'm going to be in tears.

I'm so scared to look into your eyes
To see just what is there;
May God be with me and lift me up
Please show me that you care.

I can remember the very time
When it all suddenly became clear;
That you were more than just a mate
And that you had become very dear.

I have dreamt about this for far to long.
My lack of nerve has got me into this mess
but maybe I will woo you with a song!

The song I know says it over and over
from the inside out I can explain!
I love you just as much when I'm sober
So don't throw my love down the drain.

Is that "I feel the same way" I hear?
You nearly told me at the New Year.
Deep in my heart and many sweet kisses,
So dreams do come true on full moon wishes.

The air feels fresh and vitalised;
The sky is bluer and the birds sing more
Please say yes for our love to materialise.

I do not know;
If you don't love me
Then I'll have to go.

My world is upside down
It's gone from dark to light;
But if you don't respond
It won't be very bright.
