I'm moving on without you
I'm sorry that it's ended this way;
There is nothing left between us
Life's too short so call it a day.

As in this book of life we have chapters
This place won't be in the next of mine;
I'm moving on with or without you
We just haven't got the time.

No more game playing
It's got to be on the straight;
I need an answer very soon
As I'm not prepared to wait.

The get up and go has got up and gone
The relationship has turned into a plod;
If it goes any slower I'll be asleep
I'll be dead and going to God.

I've come to the end of my contract
I've got an interview today;
I need to keep on the ladder
What else can I say!!

It's been good working with all of you
Some more than others it's true;
But I will stay in touch I'm sure
If only with a few of you.

A new job on a new day
Whatever next you ask;
I'm off to see the world
That's quite a simple task.

A job is a job at the end of the day
They said if I went they'd increase my pay;
Recession times have hit us hard
So "Goodbye" here's your card!

Travelling has always been a passion
One that I could ill afford;
But my job now demands of me
Lots of travelling abroad.

There are things that we never want to let go of,
people we never want to leave behind.
But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world,
it’s the beginning of a new life.

My landlord wants her house back
Well that's okay some would say;
The terms should have been for longer
So I'm moving out today!

We're moving to the country
Where sheep and farmers dwell;
We've wanted to go there for years
But never our house could sell.

Our luck is in though and we're really chuffed
To be going there at long last;
We hope you'll come and visit
And not leave us in your past!
