I've just lost Sandy
She's met me every day;
As soon as I was out of school
She knew I was on my way.
She never told me off
Even if I was late;
She'd sit there waiting patiently
Sitting there by the garden gate.
She was old in doggie years
That's what my Grandma said;
She nearly got to a hundred
Now in doggie heaven, in her bed

The loss I feel is really strange
It has felt like no other;
I haven't felt as bad as this
Since I nearly lost my brother
I'm sure I didn't appreciate
The welcome I always got;
Whether I'd remembered her
Or whether I had not.
The unconditional love
A love that is like no other;
No grudges held or aguments
Even when I didn't smother.
I now have a hole in my life
Poor Lottie she was my pet;
I miss her very much
Lottie; you I will never forget.

A Tribute to your pet dog
When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine
and give each one a name."
And so He travelled far and wide
and everywhere He went,
a little creature followed Him
until it's strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said,
"Dear Lord,there's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him
"I've left you to the end
I've turned my own name back to front
and called you dog, My friend."

There are many choices of a pet
From a cat to a cockatoo;
But none of them will ever
Be able to match up to you.
Clever, smart, intelligent
You had a funny little bark;
I miss you scampering around
I walk alone now in the dark.
You kept me safe and would walk behind
As if you knew how to keep me safe;
Suddenly flinging yourself forward
You were a stray, a little waif.
Heinz 57 I believe you were
If only I could've bottled your love;
Your devotion was second to none
I hope you're happy up above!

I just wanted to let you know that I made it home.
The journey wasn't an easy one, but it didn't take too long.
Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and new
I wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too.
Please try not to be sad for me.
Try to understand God is taking care of me...
I'm in the shelter of His hands.
Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain.
Here there is no crying and I'll never hurt again.
Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing.
I really have to go for now... I've just got to try my wings.
Now this I'm sure will tickle you right through
As now I'm going to fly just like the birds;
I've spent my life trying to catch one of these
So now I'm really lost for words!

You are in our memories
Of walking in the park;
A healthy routine for all of us
We loved to hear you bark.
We weren't sure just what you'd said
But sometimes we got the gist;
You gave us humans clues
Whilst driving us round the twist.

I had a rat called Moses
He has now passed away;
There but for the love of God go I
To live for another day.
He's lived quite some time
Even with a cat;
Keeping an eye on each other
Moses was very good at that.

I am so sorry to hear your ...... died
I know how much you loved him/her
And just how much you've cried;
One day I'm sure you'll have another.

My little ball of fluff
Who grew quite big enough;
Has played and meowed
Was also strong and very tough.
She fought off the kids
And the neighbours Tom;
She rolled around the garden
Loved by everyone.
Her fishy treats that she so loved
We always screwed up our faces;
But now she's gone we know not where
Just gone to other places.
